tldr; i'm gemini sun, cap moon and leo rising
I realized probably about a year or two ago how big astrology was getting while I was doing all this 'self-work' I never stop talking about. I learned that deja vus's are a sign that you're on the right path, and after some really big epiphanies and revelations, I kept having them. And they stopped once I started getting more into astrology (literally only my sun sign tho, the rest is too much for my lil brain - THIS IS ALSO FORESHADOWING LOL ). But I started making sense of myself the more I got into it, so today I finally sat down and did some research on my Big Three which is hitting tiktok in all kinds of ways for some reason right now (date of writing is May 3rd).
If you google what the personality of a Gemini is, it'll say, "playful and intellectually curious, they're constantly juggling a variety of passions, hobbies, careers, and friend groups. They are the social butterflies of the zodiac: These quick-witted twins can talk to anyone about anything. Find them buzzing between happy hours, dinner parties, and dance floors." Honestly that's one of the nicer descriptions I've seen. If you follow me on instagram and see my stories, you'll notice I post the funny memes related to my sign, but usually Gems are looked at as bratty, two-faced and ditzy. Take everything in astrology with a grain of salt bc while this all might describe you, it also might not, and while your astrological makeup might be the base of who you are (??? am i doing this right lmao) it's your personality and your environment that makes you who you are. How you were raised etc. So I dunno don't be too pressed if your Big Three or even just One doesn't speak to who you think you are.
So, what is a Big Three? For those of you who are two paragraphs in now and wondering what in the ever-loving hell I'm talking about, I'll explain via copy & paste :) "The big three of our natal chart are our sun sign, moon sign, and our rising (or ascendant) sign. Each of these is a specific field of consciousness that has a major influence in the way you live your life." Basically, when people ask for your birth date, year, and time of birth, this is what they're trynna find out so they can figure you out before they get to know you. Also, these mostly depend on the specific location of the moon at the exact moment you were born, which is why the time is so important.
ANYWAY let's get into the nitty gritty. I didn't actually go too deep into a hole to check this shit out because it will destroy my brain... there's soooo much information. So on a pretty basic level, here's what I learned about MY Big Three:
Sun Sign: Gemini
Your sun sign is the one you (probably) already know that you are. There's 12 total (Gemini, Capricorn, Leo, Aries, etc.), and if you search your birthday and "zodiac" you'll find yours! I'm a Gemini, and I've known this probably as long as I've been able to use the internet.
The sun sign represents the individual person: your style, life purpose, and destiny. The site I used described it as "your personality's boss"... So if the Sun is the boss of your personality, Mercury is the Sun's secretary, Venus is the counsellor (relationships), and Mars is the PE teacher (action).
Sun in Gemini - The urge for self-expression is very strong. Geminis are curious to a fault, but are flexible, changeable, adaptable people (probably where the two-faced part comes from?). We're clever, witty, and need mental stimulation so we don't get bored (short attention span... lmao i told you there was foreshadowing) and therefore are restless. We crave intellectual conversation/stimulation, and so we're kinda like a jack of all trades but master of none when it comes to knowledge - we know so much about so many things but not everything about one thing. :)
Fun fact: Some celebs that are also Geminis include Marilyn Monroe, Chris Pratt, Natalie Portman.
Moon Sign: Capricorn
The moon represents your deepest inner emotions and innermost needs. It reflects your habits, reactions, and instincts. "Your moon sign is one of the most important parts of your astrological profile: it represents your emotional side, your feelings, intuition and memories. It also dictates your relationship with the main maternal influences in your life, as well as how you nurture and care for others." ... "The moon is considered to be the most important planet in the birth chart. The ascendant is the most powerful house in the horoscope. The moon plays a significant role in the field of astrology while predicting human fate."
Moon in Capricorn: There are a few basic needs as Moon Caps such as the need to be useful, productive, and to feel worthwhile in life and others' lives. We're cool-headed, competent, reliable, steady people. The moon's position in Capricorn suggests a desire for clear boundaries and realistic goals. We need safety and security, so we're always planning ahead. Cap Moons can have plenty mood swings and dark emotions, and are hard on themselves. We tend to hide our sensitivity behind sarcasm. Capricorn is the sign of organization and effective management, and there's a basic need to be respected to feel secure. There's also a huge attachment to the world of senses. :)

Rising sign (Ascending): Leo
*Leo's ruling planet is the Sun (whatever that means? told you i didn't really get into it... lmao)
The rising sign aka the ascending sign is how others perceive you. It's how you "cope" with the day-to-day, your automatic response to your environment (natural defenses). The site I used said it's the "mask" you display to others before they get to know you.
Leo risings: Radiate magnetism, can't help but be noticed (not their fault!). They are extremely self-aware and body-conscious (they pay lots of attention to hair). They can make some rash decisions and sometimes throw tantrums, but generally their idealism keeps them out of trouble. By nature, we're usually the manager type (in personality or occupation), overseers, and can sometimes come off as bossy but just wanna make sure everyone is doing okay... which is also a testament to the power and drive we possess. We overestimate ourselves and things all the time, but we have a natural enthusiasm and optimism about us. There's an unusual need to be admired. We're strong, kids at heart, authoritarian, fun-loving, warm, generous, spirited. We have a natural flair for presentation, make great salespeople, have an eye for quality. Leo risings have a hard-to-resist warmth of style, and we wanna make things h a p p e n, create a stir. :)

If you wanna try and figure out your own stuff, this is the website I used to learn what the things mean, and they bring you to cafe astrology which I've always used to try to learn more about this stuff in the past - they're very popular. It helps to know the time you were born but it isn't super necessary, you can still get pretty close.
This will never not be fascinating to me, but I have to learn it little bits at a time... don't really wanna have to add this to the Things I Don't Understand blog lolllll 🤪 anyway if you figure out what yours are, let me know!
